LAURA URBINO JARAMILLO , of “UANDANA”, is a young industrial designer who in 2011 created a new  jewellery collection with materials such as leather and aluminium . This new collection combines two different Colombian design techniques  of basket making (“cesteria” ) and weaving (“rollos”).  The majority of her pieces from  the 2011 collection are designed with two contrasting elements to form an unit with one soft  and one rigid. The mixture of colours of this creative collection makes reference to the diverse Colombian ethnic background.  Laura  uses craft procedures that remind us of old Colombian indigenous techniques such as rustic and hammered-aluminium.
